Meet Alma

I am passionate about delicious home-cooked vegetarian food and I am thrilled to share that with you at Ginger’s Café, here in my home town.

I have 10 years of varied catering experience from weddings to supper clubs. You name it, I can cater it!

Whatever the occasion or location, my priorities have always been organic, local and ethically sourced ingredients.

When the opportunity to develop a café in one of my favourite shops, One Tree Books, I jumped at it. The perfect step up from my popular and lovingly self-converted horsebox café.

With much help from loved ones in the renovation team and with my trusted local suppliers on board, in October 2021, Ginger’s Café was born.

Today

Fast forward from 2021 and I have a fabulous and friendly team keeping the Ginger’s dream alive.

We pride ourselves on our inclusive menu and will always offer ‘free from’ alternatives in our large selection of homemade cakes, lunches and drinks.

There really is something for everyone.

We have upstairs, downstairs and outdoor seating areas, as well as spacious accessible facilities and a popular takeaway service.

  • Our coffee ground suppliers:

    "In 2012, Francis Bradshaw, inspired by a family heritage in the coffee and tea trades spanning four generations, commissioned a Probat Coffee Roaster in a small barn in his backyard and began roasting at night after a day’s work. By the light of the moon and under the watchful gaze of the village owl, Fran set about developing roast profiles for carefully selected beans. Before long he was supplying freshly roasted coffee to local people and businesses. And so Moon Roast was born."

    "Supplying you only the very best produce from Covent Garden market, The Vale of Evesham, selected local farms, orchards and growers."

  • Our fresh bread suppliers:

    "The Real Bread and Food Company is a small bakery in rural Hampshire specialising in sourdough breads. We use organically grown flours and seeds to which we add only water, natural sea salt and a dollop of our 85 year old sourdough culture to create a variety of loaves. Using renewable energy to power the ovens and delivery van, environmental responsibility in food production has always been our core driver."

  • Our fresh egg suppliers:

    "Fairacres Farm is an attractive small stock farm with a thriving free range egg business, and also with equestrian facilities. The farm eggs are sold through an established wholesaler with a particular focus around high animal welfare standards implemented on the farm. The business is well established and is now in its sixth year."
